Yongle Encyclopedia
Yongle Encyclopedia contained nearly one million pages cover agriculture, art, astronomy, history, medicine, religion and technology. The Yongle Encyclopedia was the world's largest known general encyclopedia and it was the first encyclopedia on earth. Approximately, over two thousand scholars worked on the project under the direction of the Emperor. The emperor named the encyclopedia under his name. The Yongle Encyclopedia also referred as The Great Canon.

The Huochong Gun The Huochong gun was an important invention of the time period because the Ming Dynasty was creating weapons to defend from the attackers. The huochong gun was constructed with bamboo, but later it replaced with bronze. The huochong gun improved the military, but also it leaded to the inventions of improved guns. |
